"Link, I don't think 'Epona' likes me very much." Lunaris scoffed, her hip tilted up following the sound of golden jewelry clinking together as a hand rested on it, she gave a smirking glance to the chestnut colored mare before her and the small hero, seeing it wouldn't let her on without a fight.

Link grabbed the reigns, pulling just enough to get the horse to settle down, she was starting to buck and show signs of unrelenting stubbornness. The outskirts of Gerudo Desert had a stable where he could get Epona, he had brought Lunaris as he carried her for some of the way under the cover of moonlight.

Once Epona had come around the stable, Lunaris was at first a little freaked out by the large and magnificent creature, but so too did the horse.

He tried patting her down the expanse of her neck to soothe her, wanting her to ease up long enough to head over to Zora's Domain clear across the way, but the mare snorted as she pulled at the reigns; she had different plans.

Rearing up, she had broken free of Link's hold and began to gallop around the two and past Lunaris, away from the female in question. Link, seeing as she had no intention of letting her on, gave a defeated sigh as he turned to the lady of the water.

'I'm sorry, she doesn't like strangers,' he signed, shaking his head, hoping she would understand. She merely shrugged with a flick of the wrist, the soft breeze blowing through her fins accentuating her gesture.

"Don't fret, little hero. She might just be jealous of me," the Zora spoke sarcastically to herself, chuckling as his cheeks burned a brighter shade reminiscent of her scales, her arms up behind her head. "She doesn't want me to ride alongside you, I get it, she's your horse." Those misty eyes closed for a moment in thought.

"I could always walk, if... that's okay with you, Epona?" She said, with a smile showing her sharp teeth while slightly bent over at the waist in a teasing manner.

That seemed to work as the mare trotted up to near Link, so in turn, his hand automatically went to reward her for staying, pulling himself up onto the saddle as she let him on. Lunaris huffed, straightening herself, so she was right.

"That's settles it, so... in front or back?" said the Zora lightheartedly as she started the long trek to Hyrule field, Link spurred Epona as he reared her around to follow the adventurous woman. With the hero riding up beside her in order to keep an eye on her, he couldn't help but have his attention drawn to her shapely hips while the lavender hued skirt hugged her frilled legs, its see-through fabric much like his own garb with the light catching on the golden plating of her V shaped belt.

Whoever made this designed it just for her. Goddesses, what caused the turn of events to have her live life as a Gerudo? The Great Calamity? Trade?

Lost in thought, the trek was silent save for horseshoes clicking on rock while he went through scenarios of how it happened, with one being correct perhaps. He barely heard the sigh just a few feet to the left. "What happened to me isn't public information, okay?"

Link jumped when her voice came out of nowhere, but it unknowingly quelled his train of thought, apparently, Lunaris sensed this, pulling at her garments as the wind kicked up. "I know you've been wondering since we met, but that's just it. I don't want to talk about it."

"Oh." Link managed, apologizing under his breath, she sounds as if he had insulted or offended her, had she caught him staring by chance... and yet seems to be okay with her lot in life, like she's had time to get over the past and turn to the future.

Boy, he wish he could, with his lost memories and all.

"Sorry... if that came off as crass, it's just, any friends I've had at the town never stayed that way for long, so, my social skills have waned over the years, I'm afraid." Muttered the Zora aloud, arms crossed, with one hand pressing against her forehead, her crest leaning into her palm.

The mystery keeping her shrouded getting more intriguing as the time passes and they finally enter into the lush lands of Hyrule Field under the cover of dawn.

Lunaris is stunned in awe as they continued their long stroll, a hand to her clad chest whilst taking in the scenery around her, breath taken by the far reaches of the land as tall heights of Death Mountain and the ruins of Hyrule Castle to name a few are bathed in the morning sunlight.

"I never thought anything would more beautiful than the desert," she breathed in a soft voice, the snarky tone absent. "Then again, I haven't gone outside the desert perimeters until today..." She laughed as turned to Link with a smile. "Thank you, for all of this," she gestured with a hand. "Really... I am."

And there it is again.

They had taken a short rest, near a lake to replenish some energy, feed and water the horse all while the Zora went to cool herself off. The road ahead promised a lot of things, but little of it is forgiving.

Back on the trail, Link motioned for her attention before pointing to the distance; Zora's Domain, just over those peaks. Her eyes lit up in reaction to the sight, her tail swaying about on its own accord. "Wow, Champion, you are for real, aren't you?" A laugh bubbled up in her throat, then she frowned as she quirked a brow.

"It's still such a long ways off. We would be there already, but too bad Epona won't let me on, but that's just how it works." She joked with a shrug, a hand placed on her hip.

But just when she imagined they would need to rest again for while, Link grabbed her upper arm, thanks to his divine strength, pulled the young woman up to the saddle with a yelp. "Link! What are you-" Lunaris jerked as the horse took to high speeds, arms instinctively wrapped around his waist to keep from being thrown off.

The extra weight had alerted the mare of the second person, and the spurring onward had told her to speed off.

"I told you, I'm fine, you didn't have to- do this." Her fastened grip to his tunic tightened, he could feel white claws pierce through and dig into his skin, her stomach flipped at the pace, keeping her eyes anywhere but ahead of her, feeling she was going to acquire shell shock by the time they get there.

The sun had come over the horizon, painting the domain in golden rays of light when they were coming up on the sea faring city, the fast galloping of hooves had soon slowed to a pleasant trot once they began to cross the bridge.

As they passed beneath multiple archways, luminous stones glinting off the directly hitting sunlight, Link sighed, patting his horse in a tender manner. He felt the pair of scaly arms shift as they unwound from around his waist once the mare came to a halt, he then dropped to the ground, taking the reigns in one hand and petting Epona with the other.

Chancing a look to the Zora still on horseback, frazzled could not describe the glare she was giving him with her arms at either side of her, a leg up over the other all while wearing a frown. "Remind me never to ride horseback again." Epona snorted once more, acting like she was ready to toss her off. "Oh, stop twitching," she muttered.

Link extended a hand to the female Zora, only to have it merely brushed it aside, and  watched as she slipped off herself before that damned horse did anything else, patting herself down. "Okay, I'm fine. Let's go," with a deep breath, she began to waltz into the Domain with Link following close behind.

The hardened, steely gaze in her blue eyes soon softened when she took the time to have her breath taken away for the third time, Link stopped alongside her watching as she stared off, eyes darting while her mouth hung slightly agape. Smiling, he sees she's already enjoying the sights. Yeah, she's going to be much happier here.

"Link!" A familiar voice yelled, catching both Link and Lunaris' attention to the gate where two guards stood, in between there was a crimson Zora of tall stature and clad in jewelry running to meet the two of them, quickly closing the distance between himself and Link. "It's been a while, my dear friend."

He posed like he usually does, his brilliant white teeth showing in his wonderful smile and arm flexed in an encouraging manner, as he got closer to the Hylian, leaning in he took notice of a scent wafting up from the Hylian's garb, exciting his olfactory senses to an untold height.

Subconsciously, he licked his lips, where was that emanating from... "Link, you smell divine, tell me, what is that on your person?" Link took a moment to register his words, he had been handling a Zora (vice versa earlier), so the scent was riling his prince up, it seems. It wasn't just the Hylian, it was something else...more intimate.

Looking in the direction of Link's partner, he froze, his eyes wide.

He couldn't believe what he was seeing, there, a Zora of swirling peach, white and wine dark colors stood, the soft color of her eyes akin to a misty day over the water, fogging the emotion that storms behind those peculiarly colored orbs. Her facial expression appearing to be cold, distant yet warm and curious. Inviting. His pupils shrank a bit. So that's where the scent originates.

"Oh, what do we have here?" Gold shimmering irises trailed south, the outfit she was adorned with caught his intrigue.

The sight of what he knew as Gerudo garb made his mind surge with a sea of thoughts, accentuating it with her hand on one tilted up hip and the other at her side really brought out the natural curves of her lithe figure, the skirt hugging the front of her thighs. She almost looks like...

He knew he was blushing, heat rushed to his face dusting his cheeks a bright blue, it was very much unbecoming of a prince to imagine such vulgar things of someone he had just met.

In an attempt to save face, he cleared his throat as a hand had extended to the young lady, asking for her hand. Lunaris was taken aback as well by the male near twice her size - smooth but well defined muscles, tone abdominal abs, crimson scales on pearly white, the adornments on his crest and neck, his handsome face and gorgeous smile - it was her turn to flush a light aqua hue.

She WANTED to turn away to hide her face, to cover her obvious embarrassment beneath her own crest, but she stayed her ground. "I'm Sidon, Prince of the Zoras, and who might you be, young one?" A pit grew in her stomach, feeling slivers of ice slide up her spine, reawakening her senses to attention.

She smirked to his inquiry of her, accepting his advances by placing her hand in his larger one. "Lunaris, my friends call me Luna, or they would if I had any. Charmed to meet you, Your Highness." Beautiful voice too, he could get used to hearing that. Sidon merely laughed. "Well, don't worry, I'm sure you'll make plenty, our Domain is home to all sea faring folk."

He turned to Link. "Thank you for everything, Link, you've yet again done our people a great service by bringing this young Zora here. Now then, let's introduce our new guest to the king."
A fic idea where Lunaris is presented to Prince Sidon, hope it goes over well. By the way, for those of you wondering about Lunaris' disposition, think of her being like Megara from Hercules and you'll understand why I went with that behavior.

This took forever, and yes my writing sucks, I just hope it will get better by the time I get to another idea.

Just like last story, the game Zelda - Breath of the Wild does not belong to me but Nintendo.
